About the Job

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, responsible for commercially focused procurement, cost management, and ensuring developments remain on budget throughout the build programme. You’ll manage monthly CVRs and oversee three or more live sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement of trades and subcontractors, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and alignment with build programmes.

• Prepare tender documentation, assess quotations, and support tender list preparation.

• Produce start-on-site budgets, stage payment schedules, and construction cost analysis.

• Negotiate and place subcontractor orders, including managing variations and issuing revised drawings.

• Monitor, reconcile, and report costs, identifying risks and forecasting overspend.

• Attend design, project, and site meetings, providing cost advice across departments.

• Support Customer Services with cost advice on post-completion defects.

About You

• Experience in a similar surveying role within housebuilding.

• Knowledge of JCT contracts and experience with partner social housing developments.

• Strong commercial, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency with COINS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Bluebeam and Viewpoint experience advantageous.

• Understanding of building regulations, construction methods, and materials.

• Full, clean driving licence.
